The ASEAN Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance (ADRFI) Forum will be held on 3rd of March 2017 at the Amari Watergate Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. The forum aims to have a sharing of experiences and best practices on risk assessment, modelling and pooling; and also to identify other key areas for collaboration in the area of risk financing and risk transfer.

The Forum will be participated by representatives from ASEAN finance ministry, insurance commission, disaster management agency, civil society and international development organisations. Organisations such as World Bank, ASEAN Insurance Council’s  CARMA, Asian Development Bank, Asian Disaster Preparedness Center, AIR Worldwide, OASIS, Loss Modelling Framework, OXFAM, UNDP, FAO, and GIZ.

ASEAN Insurance Council’s CARMA delegates are Mr. Richard Austen, Editor-in-chief and Ms. Lavinia Viado, Marketing Manager of the portal. Mr. Austen will be delivering a presentation with the topic: Public-private partnership in risk modelling and risk management”.
